Glad you asked! Music from the internet is NOT free, even if you acknowledge the source with an on-screen credit! Most music now carries embedded digital watermarks that will link up with bots on the internet to turn you in. If your video is detected, you as the producer may be liable for copyright infringement.

Music marked ‘Royalty Free’ simply means you DON’T have to pay ongoing royalties, but you DO have to pay a license fee to use the music.

Remember that YOU are the producer of the finished work.  I am your artist-for-hire.  Legally, any repercussions that come from your finished video fall to you.  I can help you satisfy those requirements on the front end!

I can supply music that will be legal and licensed for your use.  You can even listen to an approved list and pick your favorite!   It’s a small added cost, but will save you worry, money, and heartache down the road.  Just ask.

What about using music with my video?

--Make sure all the cameras are running at the same format (1920x1080 for HD) and at same frame rate (usually 30 fps.)

--Provide a way to easily ‘sync’ your cameras in editing. You’ve seen the old-fashioned Hollywood Clapperboard on TV. You can do the same with your hands or the flash from a camera or phone. With all cameras recording and your hands visible on all their screens, clap LOUDLY or fire off a flash. Then leave the cameras running as you shoot – no stopping!! You can redo this process as many times as needed, but don’t stop the cameras! This saves OODLES of time (and money!)

--Always include something white, somewhere in your clips.

Shooting with more than one camera?

How much can we fix in post-production?

The BIG LIE "that's good enough, we'll fix it in post" is just a lazy way of going home early. Get it right while you're there! SOME things can be fixed in post production, but it costs you time and therefore money!
